Archangel Raphael Foundation, Inc.

Dear Friends,

As we have discussed over the past couple of years, in our constant (and often challenging) efforts on behalf of our oldest boy, Nicky, and as a natural outgrowth of our past efforts, we formed a tax-deductible 501(c)(3) non-profit organization in 2009, named the Archangel Raphael Foundation, Inc.  We have also put together an impressive and dynamic Board of  Directors and Advisory Board, in order to promote and further this worthy cause.

Our mission is to provide resources for families of special needs children (such as those with Down syndrome), to receive a Catholic education, like the one we are working hard to provide for our little Nicky.  Our son is just like yours in most ways.  He just needs a little extra help and time to catch up.  This idea is a new one for Catholic schools down here, and we have found that they greatly need all the assistance we can give them.

The link below will lead you to Nicky’s fundraising page (along with an updated photo).  Besides welcoming any ideas, help and input that you may have, we would greatly appreciate your consideration of a generous donation to our efforts.  This can be done on-line with a credit card directly through the attached link, or by mailing a check payable to:

                                                                                               “Archangel Raphael Foundation, Inc.”

1528 Palermo Avenue

Coral Gables, Florida 33134

We also encourage you to forward this information to other like-minded folks. Thanks again for your friendship, love and support!

May God bless you all, -Nick, Mari, Nicky, Carli & Eddie

Elderly Support Centers in Cuba

Elderly Support Centers in Cuba

The Cuban Association of the Order of Malta funds fifty seven adult support centers, which provide over 700,000 meals per year to the indigent elderly in Cuba. These centers are managed by Catholic parish priests and their funding and management are completely independent of the government of Cuba. The Association also supports a retired priest’s home, as well as several hospitals and similar institutions. In total, sixty four facilities in the Island.

We are seeking funds to expand the program. Each center will cost about $5,000/year, and the number can be doubled in a very short time if funds are available.

The purchase of one Cuchara de Amor for $1,000 will help feed 20 persons for a full year

Many families have a tradition of making joint charitable family gift during the holiday season.  This project will be a great opportunity to give the gift of life and also remind us of how lucky we are to be able to lead a very comfortable life.

Please make your checks payable to:
