APPLICANTS SOUGHT FOR CRIMINAL CONFLICT AND CIVIL REGIONAL COUNSEL VACANCY CREATED BY THE DEATH OF JACKSON FLYTE
The Judicial Nominating Commission for the Supreme Court of Florida (JNC) is now accepting applications to fill the vacancy on the Criminal Conflict and Civil Regional Counsel to serve the Second District Court of Appeal, resulting from the death of Jackson Flyte on Jan. 22, 2010.
An original and nine copies of the completed application and all attachments must be delivered to Jason Unger, GrayRobinson, P.A., 301 S. Bronough St., Suite 600, Tallahassee, FL 32301, no later than 5 p.m. on Tuesday, March 8, 2010.
Applicants must be, and must have been for the preceding five years, members in good standing of The Florida Bar or a similar organization in another state. Applicants are strongly encouraged to submit their applications at the earliest time possible so as to provide the JNC with ample time to evaluate them and conduct necessary background investigations and interviews. After the March 8 due date, the JNC will meet to review all applications and decide which candidates will be interviewed and will notify those selected promptly thereafter. The interviews will be conducted on Saturday, March 27, 2010, at 4200 George J. Bean Parkway, Suite 2580, Tampa, FL 33607-1496.
